2016 River Trace GSM

BEST OF CLASS, SF Chronicle Wine Competition  |  Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre

"The right River Trace guided its seekers to wonderful treasures.  May this River Trace bring you to that same magical place," Tom Meadowcroft.

TASTING NOTE:  This blend of syrah, grenache, and mourvédre shows brambly cherry and crushed violets on the nose.  It’s very smooth on the palate with well-integrated flavors of black plum, dried cherry, and earthiness.  The plush tannins lingers with full-bodied ripeness.

FOOD PAIRING:  This full-bodied wine is great match for rich dishes such as Sirloin strip roast with Roquefort mushrooms, braised lamb with potatoes, twice-glazed Asian barbecued chicken, or just it on its own.
