Meadowcroft Wines

2009 Speedy Creek Vineyard Sangiovese

LIBRARY RELEASE |  10 Year Birthday

From the Speedy Creek Vineyard in the Knights Valley AVA of Sonoma County, this wine has been cellared in optimal conditions in Meadowcroft's wine library for ten years.  It is at its peak of excellence, but will continue to mature if cellared properly.

Tasting Note:  Rich and righteously balanced body with berry compote on the nose, the 2009 Sangiovese evokes dark Luxardo cherries and blackberries complemented by earthy tobacco flavors on the velvety finish.

Food Pairing:  For a well-composed and delectable wine, an equally as succulent dish is recommended.  A porchetta roasted rabbit with fennel will complement its complexity.
