2017 Cru de la Ruche Malbec

GOLD MEDAL, SAN FRANCISCO CHRONICLE WINE COMPETITION

The name Cru de la Ruche, meaning vintage of the beehive, is a nod to our connection to the honeybee and its amazing ability to transform nectar into honey paralleling the transformation from grapes to wine.

TASTING NOTE:  Alluring peppery spice and leather aromas pack this full-bodied wine with pleasure.  Saturated with blackberry and blackgrape flavors, this wine has a layered and nicely viscous texture.  The oak is present yet polished alongside lengthy tannins and a lasting mouthfeel.

FOOD PAIRING:   Try this malbec with a variety of bold cuisines as it won’t be overshadowed by heavily flavored foods.  Also perfect for sipping on its own.
